12″ Figures

The 12” range is a collection of ‘Barbie size’ dolls of humanoid characters and Daleks. Unfortunately, with the exception of the Daleks, the range seems to have ended now.

As they were larger than the 5” figures these dolls were treated to proper fabric costumes and had more detail, though the faces of human characters were sometimes criticised for not being detailed or close enough to the original actors, especially the David Tennant doll.

It is fairly widely acknowledged that the aliens were the best of the range, such as the clockwork man with his mask that, when taken off, revealed the detailed and intricate clockwork workings inside (though these didn’t move or work in reality of course.)

Since the end of series 3 the range has seen no more additions with the exception of a few Daleks – most notably the Supreme Dalek and Davros himself, all of which are remote controlled.

It’s a shame the range has finished, though many put it down to the fairly high price point put on them.
