I bet Stoo could be able to do something to his face to make him look how he did in Time Crash

Looks good but his face seems a bit strange. Maybe it will be improved for the final figure. And plus he comes with a classic sonic just like the 4th Doc.

Probably a fake. There is lot of talk on the OG forum about this and I'm sure I sure an amended protype picture there that someone had 'stuck' celery on.

Although it's all rumour I have heard stories that the figure is being re-designed to sort this out in time for release.

Well we now know that this figure will be un-celeried and that the Children in Need Time Crash SDCC exclusive will have celery.
It now looks that at some point in the future (reading inbetween the lines from the OG forum) that there might be a celery-ed PD figure in the future - but only if the Classic Range line does well.
So now we know what to do, don't we?
Buy the Classic Range and make it a hit!

Absolutely!
I did hear talk of people making casts of the celery once the TC set is out... I bet people will buy those too.
And I still haven't checked the shop that just might stock tiny sticks of celery... no, really

It would be nice to have the celery one - but I doubt we will see it here. We're clutching at straws.
However I should have exciting news soon...

The original prototype sculpt looks a little wonky to me - not a lot like Davison. I'm fuming at the celery (is it true someone high up at CO decided it just looked to silly?), and strangely also annoyed that the pullover doesn't have the stripe across the bottom, though it wasn't always there on TV anyway (it was in Castrovalva, so they can't get away with the lack of celery by saying it's from early in that story!).
Looking at the pictures for 'Time Crash' the (articulated and maybe final?) sculpt looks a lot better - really disappointed it's not Older!Davison though. Just the standard 5th Doctor with celery - doesn't represent the episode and whiffs of cash-in.
But anyway - it will be fantastic to have a proper figure of my favourite Doctor - and how hard can it be to make your own stick of celery out of milliput?!

Reasons why (apparently) this isn't the Castrovalva one which is the reason for no celery.....
1. Wrong style jumper
2. Hair style
3. I think this sculpt actually makes him look a tad older....

Makes sense - wasn't it originally billed as 'from Resurrection of the Daleks' - that would explain the hair, can't remember in that story the jumper though, think it might still have the stripe.
Maybe he's between stalks? He's just put the old one out with the recycling, but hasn't had chance to nip to the grocer's for a new one yet...
