Not long though!

Great figure, but will probably work better 'on plinth' than as a playable action figure - he's staring off up into space, much like the TW Jack figure. There must have been a really interesting stain on the ceiling the day they took the reference photos for these.

It's probably worth pointing out that the images of all the Torchwood Action Figures are the pre-production models from which approval is granted and therefore feature no articulation.
Articulation will be 10 point.
Probably obvious to most, but I've seen a few comments about them being static, judged by the images no doubt and also as a plinth is supplied.
The plinth just makes display better as the major intial aim was for the 'collectors' market, but this will be easily removable for action.

True - but Jack and John in particular are staring off in some random direction, rather than the 'front and centre' looks of most figures (Gwen, for example). This could be fixed if the head's on a ball joint rather than just a swivel I guess, though the eyes would still be a bit wonky.

Fair point but it's how it was wanted. Could be argued that rather than looking line a Police line-up, there is more depth to the character when in a pose like this, plus it does add an air of superiority/distinction.
I personally find that the representation of a character in pose gives more of a likeness than CO's generally fixed focal point.

It does give them a special something - they're definitely great figures, the best of the prototypes seen so far!

I have to agree on the eyes - they are looking up a bit, but I want to see how this works on the figure in hand before forming a full opinion.
Having now reviewed every figure for the site I think my favourites are the ones with feeling in the eyes. Professor Yana's eyes have soul in them and this helps make it such a good figure. Also look at Kudlak's eyes from the SJA range, they're coated with some sort of reflective substance that gives them a brilliant sense of realism.
Aardman Animations, makers of Wallace and Gromit and more, say 99% of emotion is shown from the eyes upwards. The 'looking up' here does fit with the character and I think it does give it something figures like Laszlo or The Master just don't have.
