Night of the Robots [Now completed - 2 parts!]

Postby a64 » Fri Nov 26, 2010 12:30 am

After 'The Eleven Doctors' (and a bit of a break), comes another adventure from me - 'Night of the Robots'.

Basically, I'm planning on doing more adventures (with single Doctors this time!) and whilst trying to keep the stories relevant to the era - ie not using new music for a Pertwee story, having the 60s in black and white, etc. I've thought up ideas for almost all the Doctors - e.g. an atmospheric ghost story for the 9th Doctor, a Krynoid invasion with the 6th Doctor, a great big Dalek epic for the 1st, and a stab at a Time War adventure... (you heard it here first!)

And all this is using the voices of the actors - ambitious!

So, to kick off I've come up with a story starring Tom Baker and the Voc Robots... set between the gap of The Deadly Assassin and The Face of Evil, he is on his own in a deserted futuristic city patrolled by corrupted robots, and with aliens down beneath...

And here's a nice trailer. 8D http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppZnpy9y_Xk

Production's pretty well advanced, but editing's gonna take a while. It's a two part adventure, and I won't be able to get the first up before the end of November, so early December it is. And then it's planning for the Christmas special... more on that later.

Wow! This sounds really cool, as do all of them! My only problem - does this mean no more David Jones? If not, great! If so, shame, but at least we get all of these awesome stories!

It doesn't - I'm still planning on doing David Jones! - but, my current situation means I can't easily make the next story for a few months... though there aren't many episodes left in the series! Think of it as going on a 'Timeslip' extended break.

However, I was doing a short story for Halloween which I'll finish for Advent. Promise. And perhaps a special...

No story lives unless someone wants to listen. The stories we love the best do live in us forever. So whether you come back by page or by the big screen, Hogwarts will always be there to welcome you home..

Great! Very dark, I love it! Though the second I saw SV44 I knew the cliffhanger would be him going evil and trying to kill the Doctor - though I didn't predict that creature!
