It looks like the old Valiant headsculpt I think, the one that never got released.
The paint detail is good, but for the scratches/rip's upper body it looks cheap and poor, still a brilliant figure, I think if it was new/had new arms with swivel's and wrist movement it would be one of the best.

Opened it now and I've got to say it's really great. His damaged face and clothes look really effective. Not nice to see our David like that though. Oh, and his hair still looks a bit dodgy on mine close-up. Don't know if the fringe has been put on properly.

yes mine has that problem too, maybe a small sausage of milliput into the gap and paint it carefully would do

I like that, when you compare it with a photo of DT when he's all scratched, they've put all the scratches in the correct places! It shows their attention to detail.

Picked this one up today in Argos, a good figure, nice new headsculpt, and the damage looks quite good, but I have a few gripes: 1. He really needed bicep and thigh swivels. 2. Nowhere near enough suit damage, and way too much blood on his face. He also needed blood on his hands. 3. The sonic is just pointless, he should have had a gun instead! 4. This is only mine, but the mouth hasn't been painted properly on the right side. Still a good figure though. 7.5/10.

It's far too small to get signed nicely.

Well what i was thinking is, i remove the card and send it of to DT, then take out the battered Doctor, keeping the packaging not to messy, then replacing it with a grey suit doctor. Then When i get the card back, I'll have a figure to display!

I'd either send him an actual figure in packaging (as Martin's done a few times) or just a photo, that would look better. The card in reality is tiny (did have one to hand to measure, will check in a minute) and all of my (5 or 6) Tennant autographs are much bigger than the card itself. Hold on, got the card here, the main bulk of it is 7cm wide and 3.5cm high, an average one's over 20cm!

yeah the doctor insert card would be to small to sign nicely, if you dont want to send the whole figure have you thought about sending the backing card? he could sign between his and matt smiths head, plus it would cut right down on postage costs
