I finally have a lot of contributions for this thread!

I will start off with the Dalek Ironside as the photo way back was real bad!

Image

"Would you care for some tea?"

I repainted the sandbags round the body a lighter brown to make them look more war-like as the dark brown really didn't do it justice for me

now, for a few more recent ones!

When I got the Character Building Cyberman 5 pack from Argos last week, the cyberleader had his eyes way too low down, so I decided to re-do them! (also making a black mark on the brain in the process but that will hopefully be rectified shortly!) I used black and silver sharpie for this one:

Image

"You will become like us"

and now! I am so thrilled to finally bring you a Work In Progress picture of Inspector Javert in his prison outfit from Toulon! I already got given the Soliloquy variant as a birthday present last year:

Image

"Who is this man?"

So once I had this one I had to try the other outfit that I loved! The Toulon Prison outfit!

Here is the real one:

Image

Now, I started this a while back, I cut the 5th Doctor's coat to shape:

Image

Image

Image

Those lapels were hellish to remove!

Then after about 2 months, I finally decided to start sculpting!

today I did his belt!

Image

Image

As you can see I am using the Third Doctor's booted legs for this one!

I also took some time to fill in the gaps where the jacket fit on the torso as I had no need for them anymore:

Image

and just for fun I put together all I have so far to give you an idea of what he will look like:

Image

so breaking it down for you I am using:

John Hart's head
The Third Doctor's Body
The Sixth Doctor's Arms
The Third Doctor's Legs
The Fifth Doctor's Coat
and milliput.

And for a comparison and an excuse to put the three Miz figures together for a shot:

Image

And that's it, what do you all think? I'm really liking it so far!

Wow, I'm really impressed! Very detailed. I think it's especially impressive once you consider the starting point, and how you've changed them into enitrely new costumes/people.

Bit of a custom, but not exactly. It's Nick Cutter in a coat, pretending to be a Thal. :P

Thank you for the great comments :D

glad you both like him!

more progress has just been made, I decided to make use of the leftover dark brown I had from my Shakespeare (which I unfortunately had to destroy as it really wasn't holding together very well :(

So I painted the belt (will go over the buttons in silver sharpie when this is dry) and also as this Javert is a younger version of the soliloquy, I have given him dark brown hair, as he is no longer an old man

EDIT - Just saw your Nick Cutter Thal Professor! That's ingenious!

Looks like Javert is off to a promising start :)

...and since I picked up the Androzani two-pack over the weekend, it seemed a fine excuse to recreate a certain scene using my "final moments" 5th doctor...

Veeeery good - and not an Adric in sight! ;)

Like the backdrop, very subtly done.

Really cool Fourth Heir. Very good positioning.

On another note - 4000th post in the Customs thread!

more updates! I bought some dark blue and silver citadel paints, and found the stuff I used for primer on my Dalek Inquisitor General custom.

Javert's legs are more or less completed! I have also gone over the belt in the primer as his belt only looks brown in some pictures (a mistake many people make) The inside of the coat is now that light grey colour, just need some superglue and some more milliput, then I can set to work on more of him (Superglue the coat to the torso, mould the front and necktie and also buttons on the sleeves, front and back, then mould the folded back bits of the coat and also need to put some moulding inside too!)

hope you like so far :D The only thing I'm not happy with is the hair, it's too shiny currently and also not sure how to get rid of the pockets on the jacket or whether to just mould over them :)

well, I find Stanley Knives amazing! I had to remove Ainley's Hair so I could mold a wig over the top and after a few severed fingers this was the result:

I know what you're thinking, I'm mad!

I also attempted to cut Davison's coat, into a tailcoat, I had it perfect, then I cut more off and ruined it :(

Can you tell what it is yet? :P

I have decided that my future Les Mis/Phantom figures will NOT be poseable, it is very difficult to make them posable and plus, I don't play with any of my figures anymore, I display them and for this reason, Javert will be a static figure, I plan to have him brandishing his stick and I might even create some sort of a display stand for him.

I think I will make at least the main cast members of Les Mis and Phantom of the Opera, which will all be static.

Future Projects

Les Misérables:

Jean Valjean - Convict outfit (With Yellow Ticket of Leave
Jean Valjean - Mayor Outfit
Jean Valjean - Finale outfit
Javert - Docks (with Bicorn hat and nightstick)
Javert - Spy (With French Flag tied around waist)
Generic French Guard (with Rifle)
Fantine
Marius
Enjolras (with Rifle and Giant Red Flag)
Cosette
Master Thenardier
Mme Thenardier
Gavroche (may be difficult, could use the Empty Child I suppose)
Éponine
12 Generic Students and giant barricade (all with rifles and flag drapes) Probably won't manage this!
Phantom:

Phantom and Christine (based on Gerard Butler and Emmy Rossum)
Phantom and Christine (based on Ramin Karimloo and Sierra Boggess from the 25th Anniversary spectacular, may change to JOJ and Katie Hall)
Phantom and Christine (based on Ben Lewis and Anna O'Byrne from Love Never Dies, may just do Phantom and have him with his back to a photo of Anna with the organ to his right, just like in Til' I Hear You Sing)
Raoul (Hadley Fraser or Generic)
Mme Giry (Generic)
Meg Giry (Probably Love Never Dies)

We Will Rock You:

Commander Khashoggi - Totally Random but I wouldn't mind one! xD
