Ha. This all worked out great. "One a day, it'll be fine." :P But just to say that I will finish it over the next few days.

Interesting. Could have done with more of it. And less technobabble. :P

Thanks guys! (Sorry it took a while to respond)

I had originally intended for it to be much bigger, with armies of Sontaran's, and chases, and lots of things.
But I used the idea for Short Trips instead.

I love technobablle! It's brilliant. I find it hilarious.

The end has finally came. A short trip that's lasted nearly as long as I've been on the forum, so perhaps not that short I suppose. :P Well, I've learnt from it all. Behind the scenes... soon.

Good, I loved the multi-Doctor aspect, but it was a bit Moffatesque (ie. confusing)!

Didn't expect three Doctors in it!

Starts off brilliantly with the Doctor and the scarf, I thought that really worked. The Doctors are talking to themselves a bit too much (Paul McGann saying 'run!' etc).
When I worked out what was going on with the three different Cybermen, I thought that was a good idea - but you somewhat skipped the past which told us that all three Doctors were in the same time period and knew that they were all tied up. It felt a bit odd Patrick Troughton saying "now, just attend to the fourth." etc.

But some brilliant photography and a good story overall. :)

Thank you guys!
I am going to do a Behind the Scenes of some form, but theres a lot of stories, and I don't have everything to hand right now. So, we'll start with the 5th.

I first had the idea for the Sontaron story around... 2009/2010 I think. Can't quite remember. The original notes are presented here -

(Apologies for the handwriting.)

But I hadn't meant for that to be the Short Trips Story. No, originally the 5th Doctor was going to team up with the second (in a continuation of the 2nds own story) to battle the cybermen. Sound familiar? No, not at all? Clearly didn't make much of an impression then.

:P I jest. It was the Story with 2, 4 and 8. It was because I was running out of Time, I shot the Sontaron/5th story first, and cannibalised the other 5th story. I have the original photos from that 5th doctor story, some of which can be seen here -
(I'll edit them in Later. Photobucket's playing up a bit.)

Both the Fourth and The Eighth doctor's story went through several changes, which I'll detail... tomorrow! Ish.

Nice reading your original story - later simplified, but it cuts out some of the running around and sets it all in one location. (One line is bothering me though... " he then remarks how similar this is to Only Connect"?!)

Okay, so I figured I'd finish off the Behind the Scenes things. :P In true Short Trips style, it's several months later than promised.

1st Doctor -

This story was, more or less, planned exactly how it ended up. The Doctor's role in the final comic as larger; originally, he had been seen much more peripherally. The Dalek... humanised a bit in the dialogue. The Doctor's final scene with the Dalek was added in filming.

2nd Doctor -

Written (I say that - none of my comics are ever scripted) as an introduction to a series, which may still be continued one day, covering the events of series 6b.

3rd Doctor -

One of the first stories to be finished, didn't evolve much from the first idea. The Master was going to be given a cameo of sorts, but it was decided that this didn't really fit.

4th Doctor -

This story changed the most of all the comics. Originally featuring the fourth Doctor with K9 on a space base battling the Master, this story was abandoned as it was too long. :P It will be later continued.

5th Doctor -

Originally the other Doctor in the Cyberman story, the fifth Doctor's story was replaced by the Sontaron story - as you can see above.

6th Doctor -

6's story was thought up as is - an attempt to show some of the TARDIS, as well as including the fifth Doctor - just in case I had to axe the fifth doctor's story for some reason.

7th Doctor -

Very little planning in this one. Red tint on images to make it more 'Sycoraxic' and using the TARDIS Files books for the Sycorax speech. Seven played little part in it - something I'd like to change should I do this again, he's a brilliant Doctor!

8th Doctor -

There were three ideas for the Eighth Doctor -

a) A Prologue to an 8th Doctor series I was planning, showing the Doctor, Mission Impossible style, breaking into a vault to steal an item of great importance... what it is and what it does will be revealed if I ever finish them!

b) Showing the Doctor's first meeting with Madam Vastra - pictures of a Silurian assaulting a Train worker were taken, and may be edited into this post eventually.

c) What you eventually ended up with - 8 meeting 4 and 2. (Something I should probably say about this story - They weren't actually all in the same time zone, but were pulled into the same one when the rift opened. I should've made that clearer in the story)

9th Doctor -

As is really. There were some scenes cut, which were simplified to better fit the quote from Clive.
This comic, along with the 11th's, may later be adapted into videos.

10th Doctor -

This story as hugely simplified in the edit - when originally imagined, this story was to have played out like a normal one, with the Martha ending as more of an epilogue. It was decided to bring Martha's story to the forefront, which probably compromised the plot, in hindsight.

11th Doctor -

Very simply done, the only major changes in this story were in the way the story was edited. Feeling that the usual MS Word template wouldn't work in the context, I used Powerpoint, and fade-y effects and things to make it seem like a memory.

So, yeah. As I don't do a huge amount of planning on paper, most of the work being in my head, these things aren't as good as they could be. :P
