Doctor Who Monster Invasion cards

Postby donna.noble » Sun Apr 18, 2010 9:14 pm

A new set of cards has been released and I just wanted to let everyone know.
Also will any of you be collecting these, especially since the alien armies cards have only just been released as well??

This new set of cards are called MONSTER INVASION.

At the minute there are 90 cards to collect in common, rare, ultra rare and super rare 3D. It is a test set and only been released in certain parts of the country (don't know where though). Will most likely be released nationally in July/August when series 5 has finished.

The cards are in six sets: Adventures, Villains, Doctors, Monsters, Doctor's Allies and Gadgets. Each set is a different colour.

The cards include monsters etc. that are in series 5 so it is very up to date.

The official website is: http://www.doctorwhomi.com/cards/

What do you think??

I'm sure I can set a trading thread up like I did with the Alien Armies cards...

Looking forward to getting the magazine and collecting the cards as soon as they are released nationwide. Glad they're not out right away though since the new stickers are as well.

Monster Invasion hits stores this May!

As I was in the 'trial area' I've had the cards for a year and I don't think they're as good as BIT or Alien Armies.

Looks like DWA doesn't it.

Cards should be interesting but I'm not collecting something else that never gets completed.

Got some of these cards and so far I like them.
I definatly like them more than Alien Armies.
Not sure if they outrank Battles in Time yet though, On the plus side they don't have the annoying junk cards BIT had but they do have the "Adventure cards" which I'm not to keen on.

The magazine is ok, about the same standard as DWA or BIT magazine

Best card so far is the Silence.

Not got the mag yet, but got a free pack with DWA. I also got some from the trial run when I was on holiday. I like them. :) Gonna get the mag tomorrow.
