I liked it all the cybermen running around forests and old castles.

It was a year in a bit since I saw it and I remember one of the cybermen had a grossome death he fell and went SPLAT.

Quite a good story, a bit confusing but I understood the Big Bang so I should be fine!
The only main problem, excluding the camp Cybermen (at least they were better than the Revenge ones) and their pathetic gold allergy, is that the Doctor said a Cyberman being killed by an arrow was ridiculous or something, yet in the Five Doctors the Raston Warrior Robot took out a whole platoon using plain ordinary arrows show from its hands.

It would be the speed + strength of it, wouldn't it? If I took an arrow and poked you with it, it would make you go ow, but it wouldn't kill you. If however, I became a super Strong and powerful android who could send an arrow flying at extremely fast speeds with a giant push, the arrow would go right through you wouldn't it?

Don't worry, I'm not getting any ideas! :P

Not seen this yet, but the clips I have seen of it make it look brilliant. If I like this I might just have to buy the figures too.

I never thought the Cybermen in 'Revenge' were camp...I'll have to watch it again when I buy it. It might just be me. :P

Since 2006 I've wanted to watch this story. As of last night, (I had a Town Called Mercy / Silver Nemesis 'double bill' of sorts) I have now seen every Cyberman story that exists fully. I was expecting much.

It's a bit crap, isn't it...
The only DW story I have watched which I didn't actually enjoy. Truly a let down!

When i first watched this as a kid on tv i loved it, then when the special edition came out on vid, i still loved it. Now that i have the DVD and am much older, i don't really like it anymore. For a few reasons:

1. The DVD doesn't include the deleted scenes remixed into the story like the video had, and without them included it feels less of a story as i always remember those scenes being in it because of the video when i was a kid. They also helped the story make a bit more sense, in some ways.

2. It is a simple rehash of the Rememberance of the Daleks, doctor lays a trap with timelord tech, allows the bad guys to wipe each other out then he use's said timelord tech to wipe out last bad guy, in this case cybermen. Ace even says it at the end of the story. "just like how you nailed the Daleks"

3. The Cybermen oh dear...... David Banks once again does a fantastic job as the Cyberleader, i do miss his deep voice in when i hear the Cyberleaders speak in new who. The problem is that they are very badly written, how excalty they would use or figure out how to work the nemesis is never shown, Like in new who they are just mainly used as cannon fodder. All of them apart form the leader a scared wittless of gold coins and arrows which shouldn't kill them. It was stated in revenge and earthshock that gold dust kills them as it has to clogg up the chest units. Even in Earthshock the gold only weakend the cyberleader and kind of just made him enraged which technically shouldn't happen unless the gold damage his systems making him feel again. Also in Revenge it has been stated in a interview that it was one of the reasons why the vogan weapons didn't work, they were using bullets and not the dust. At the end of the day the Cybermen were very badly written and the only reason they were in that story because it was the silver ann and JNT at the last minute wanted them in.

Its a shame as i know i did love this story as a kid but now i can't seem to get that love again. Since Attack of the Cybermen the poor silver giants have been used for nothing more than cannon fodder and are way to easily defeated.
