Yeah, was on for the first 5 minutes, then died in that over-dramatic Colin style we all know and love. (Some of us anyway)

I know, each to their own and all that, but every time I see praise for Colin Baker it's usually that he's great in the audios, or he's a good actor but only got crap scripts, or he'd be the most popular Doctor ever if he'd had time to settle in... never that season 22 contained some tightly-written, complex, funny and occasionally horrific stories, or that despite being really long and the product of half-a-dozen writers, Trial holds together really well and is surprisingly easy to watch in one go, or the erratic but clearly-plotted evolution of the Doctor even across just those two seasons was some of the most accomplished and detailed work ever done with the character, or that Peri's just a bit brilliant...
No?
Just me, then.
(The audios are good though, aren't they? I'm in the middle of the current Charlie season at the mo - starting 'Blue Forgotten Planet' on my way to work tomorrow!) Not just you, I love them I think I am easy to please to be honest, if it's got the Doctor, a girl and TARDIS in I'm happy ^ ^ EDIT: My Vengance on Varos DVD has a different image of Colin on it's spine to the rest...is it an old DVD or a new one?

I wonder sometimes why that all new fans who have beeen introduced to the classics have this bizzare idea that he was rubbish, to be honest, he is my favourite doctor. He is brilliant, he is rude sometimes, and shouty, but that is his docotr, his coat is brilliant to be frank about it, it is 80's, and i think it is just brilliant. As for the two doctors, that story is Ace (pardon the pun) it is set in spain! and colin acts beutifully, the problem was that when he became the doctor the show was bing run by that oddball John nathan Turner, if he had been around to play the doctor in tom bakers early era or Jon pertwees time as the doctor he could have made the show something different, although i think he already did.

Very old, one of the first ones - the spine pictures differ, see also Caves of Androzani, Robots of Death (which was the first after The Five Doctors), Remembrance of the Daleks... also Seeds of Death is blue I think.
