Collections Area - How it works

Postby Seb » Sun Feb 01, 2009 7:27 am

How does our collection page work? Well…

When you sign up as a Premium Member, or if you’re a Mod, you get given a collection thread, or page, of your own.

You can edit the first post in the thread to reflect your collection. This allows others to instantly view all the information and see how your collection progresses. Not only can it be used here but also on many other websites so you can easily tell people what you have.

If you update it you can post a reply in the thread, so that people will check to see what’s new, and others also have the ability to comment (if you so wish).

What do you put on the page? Well, basically, anything. As long as it’s within the rules you control the layout and design of the page and decide what you want on it. You will automatically be given a basic template but if you want different headers etc. you’re welcome to have them.

Just one tip – don’t have too many pictures, your page will become very slow to load!

So I hope that explains it, get signing up and busy showing off your collection now! :winkDT:
Welcome to my new empire user. It is only fitting that you should bear witness to the resurrection and triumph of Seb - Lord and creator of Doctor Who Figures Online.

Yes, I'm afraid. There's another thread for photos, but for your own personal thread you have to be a Premium Member I'm afraid.

Only £10 though - so not breaking the bank!
