I can't really put a date on this, it's difficult as I have to fit in around my work until July, but I have the script pretty much finalised. I also have an important prop so preproduction is almost 100% complete.
I'm also now writing Episode 7 (literally just taken a minute's break!).
Sooo... That's about it for now. Publicity Poster coming soon, and I'll keep you up to date!
BAD WOLF! BAD WOLF! BAD WOLF!

Is that anything to do with the new episode? Can't wait for this! Does it have 'The Beast of Bodmin Moor' in it?

Its got 3 little pigs! (Whos afraid of the big bad wolf, the big bad wolf, the big bad wolf, Tra la la la laa!) Or a werewolf. Fingers crossed for 3 pigs though. Questions for you Seb: When you make Timeslip, Do you picture the characters as the actor, or the figure? And do you writ a basic outline for your comics or do you make it up as you start scripting? if there are three pigs, fingers crossed we get pig smileys!
Oh dear, I've lost my signature again.

Um... Sorry, no pigs! (maybe...!)
I take a huge amount of time in 'pre-production' - I spend ages and ages just thinking about episodes, every moment I get just coming up with ideas and seeing where they take me. Eventually I'll write out a plan, the detail of which will determine what the plan looks like. I knew what I wanted to happen in Episode 4, for example, so just made a sort of 'round plan' showing the progression, helping me to write the script. Last night, finalising the plan for Episode 7, I was stuck for how to hold it all together - it was just floating ideas - so I wrote everything down on a big sheet of paper and gradually turned that into a plan. Sometimes I might write a synopsis, sometimes I'll draw pictures to get it in my head, sometimes I'll pose the figures and sometimes I might even act it out to myself. Back for Episode 1 I just wrote down each scene, the only bit with a script was the TARDIS scene at the end, and for episode 2 I think I'd been planning for so long I didn't need a script, plan or anything - it just fell together! This is interesting actually, I might write a nice article about how I've approached each episode!
As to characters/figures... I suppose if I know the character (e.g. The Doctor, Sarah Jane) I imagine the actor. Otherwise I suppose I imagine an actor looking like the figure who speaks as I imagine. I've never actually seen Nick Cutter speak (I understand h'e Scottish isn't he?) so his voice is just what I imagine.

How?? So what's this one going to have in it Seb? Aliens, freaky murderers, Daleks, Cybermen? Ahh, with the release of the classic Cybermen, I can see them being an option.

When I heard him in Primeval 3.1 - he sounded American, definately not Scottish. Though knowing me I'm thinking of someone else entirely I think this will be a very spooky one, similar to Midnight but bigger.

It is a smaller one actually, I suppose a bit sort of 'Countrycide' or 'The Family of Blood', but with something very different...
I hope to start filming in the next few days, but there will be a lot of small yet complicated effects...
