Nemesis of the Daleks: With Tom Baker

Postby Dan » Mon Mar 21, 2011 9:17 pm

Okay chaps. First post here, and I'm not really sure where this qualifies. While I have begun recording for this, it isn't complete. On the other hand I have put a teaser clip on YouTube. I'll see how it goes.

A Nice Little Clicky Link

Nemesis of the Daleks has the Fourth Doctor, Daleks and a man who is being pursued by them. By some miracle, I've managed to string this out to 3 parts!

Anyway, the rest will be coming soon. Hopefully... Tell me what you think of it! The only way to improve is feedback. :D

Welcome to the forum! Thanks for joining.

It's really great - I love the animation and there's a brilliant classic-series feel to it. :)

I agree with a64, it was fantastic! And it was only a clip as well, imagine the full thing!

Thanks guys. What a welcome. Hopefully the full thing should be finished soon, but I've really not started yet. Still got loads to film, but it's fun.

Wow! I love it! It's a fantastic prologue to this story, I particularly liked the reference to the HADS... Very well done and professional... Can't wait for the rest! :D

Thanks guys. You've given me just a warm reception, I'll give you a screencap from Episode Three! One of the more tense scenes with the Doctro and Tom (though there are some Daleks looming in the background  )

And a quote, just to seal the deal.

DALEK SUPREME
Tom Rallock has knowledge that could assist the Daleks. With it, we shall take our rightful place in the universe!

Make of this quote what you will. With any luck, I'll update the thread every week or so, until the episodes air, or I run out of cryptic lines!

I entered the sneak peek video into a YouTube competition -Clicky Link!- and it came first place! :4grin:

Quite the confidence boost, and because of that, I'd like to say that I've completed another set of scenes. And that means that I can strike a set, and rebuild my console room again! (This time to film for quite a while. Rather a lot of complex stuff in the console room)

So yeah. Quick update. Should have the first episode up by May. 8D

As usual, running late. Nothing new there...

Exams have delayed progress on this so much, but it will be done. Now, I know I said Episode 1 would be up in May. It's May, and I can assure you, it won't be completed by the end of the month. So, to wet your tastebuds a bit more, here's another clip with the campest Supreme Dalek ever. Voiced by me.

Clicky Link

Rest assured, he will have a more - for want of a better word - 'Supreme' voice by the first episode, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Daniel

P.S.

If anyone can do a decent K9 voice, do get in contact. It's one of the other things delaying this project, aside form my procrastination, so help would be greatly appreciated!

Quite a good scene! Love the Dudley Simpson-esque music, and the normal Dalek voice is okay, it's just the Supreme's really high. :P (But then in Doctor Who, Dalek voices have been variable!)
