Two 1:6 scale heads I recieved from my extremely talented painter pal Joey in Canada,

Image

Jamie is sculpted by Sean Dabbs for Warriors Gate Productions. Sean has also worked on Big Chief's 11th Doctor, did the 2nd Doctor, Zoe & several non-Who projects for WGP and did some work on ( I think ) CO's Time Squad line.

The Master is sculpted by sideshowcollector.com member Mr Barlow. Russ is also a pro sculptor but also does a lot of side projects and has done all 8 original Doctors, the Master and has started work on the Brigadier although his workload in his day job has meant he's only made molds for William Hartnell, Jon Pertwee and Roger Delgado.

Once I've got the Troughton era crew done I'll get the rest of the bits I need to complete the Master and then I'll have a certain much missed companion to start on,

Totally didn't comment on this - sorry! - but they're marvellous. :) Especially Jamie.

DS08 - didn't really get what the custom was about at first, then I realised - ah, you've changed the hat! Is it particularly hard to do?

It's not as easy as I first thought it would be. The hat on the serious head was quite easy, it's lining up the hair on the smiling head that was hardest! They wouldn't line up and there was a big gap in hishead so I filled it with some black paper.

the internet wasnt working, so I set to do something I have been meaning to do for a while, make some progress on Javert!

I managed to

Take the arms off the 3rd Doctor's body (now its the normal body and boots, cut the 5th Doctor's coat to shape and even managed to cut the lapels off it as Javert doesn't have any! xD

anybody want to see pics?

Ooh, ok! Interesting choice of figures... had a quick search, it's more Victorian, with those buttons and that particular scarf/collar will be hard to do. But there's plenty of eccentricly dressed figures out there. ;)

it depends which pic you looked at ;)

The bit over the front with all the buttons is actually a piece that comes off to reveal a lapel-less jacket with many buttons. The way I plan to do it is glue the jacket on the body, use milliput to sculpt in between the jacket, wait till that goes rock hard then more milliput over the top then the buttons. The Cravat I plan to mould with milliput as well and the head I am using is John Hart's (as I used on the previous Javert I made)

This figure has to be one of the most ambitious ones I have ever done, I'll take a pic or two and let you see progress :D

Hello. First of all, welcome! :)DT

As this site can't host the pictures itself, you need to get an acount on an image hosting website. for example, I use Photobucket, I believe DalekSupreme08 uses Webs, and I think some people use Flickr. It is my understanding that Google acounts, such as iGoogle, Gmail or Youtube, come with Picasa Web Albums. I think that with that, you'd have to set your privacy settings to public though, which you may or may not want to do. If you want a recomendation, I'd suggest Photobucket. It comes with some basic image editing abilities, although they can be a bit slow. (I've put links to each one on their names)

After setting up this account, you'll need to copy the image code. The way this works on Photobucket is you hover the mouse over your picture, and a menu should comeup. Click on the image code, and it should copy automatically. Then you come and paste it over here.

Hope that helps, and I look forward to seeing your customs!

Some of you may recall the custom figure I made of the 6th Doctor in a concept black outfit based on comments that Colin Baker has made over the years about what he would have liked to wear in the role.

I had the pleasure of meeting Colin at an event recently and, since he'd commented so favourably about the original when I tweeted him a pic a few months back, I made this new version as a pressie for him. He seemed pretty pleased with my offering ;)
