What?! WHAT?! I feel like the Doctor having the TARDIS being broken into by the Titanic every time I look at this figure. Yes a wire figure is a nice idea, and yes they couldn’t put it on its own, but this is so totally random! I mean it is just a figure of a Grandma! And as a result of this, I love it!

I’ll start with the bad points however and get them over with. Firstly - her legs. They don’t stand up very well at all, and I feel she should really have had ones like the Gelth for example – an upside-down ‘U’ so they are joined together for extra balance.

Her arms are also not very realistic and when you pose them it usually looks like she is casting a spell or something! However, apart from this, she’s brilliant!

She looks good posed normally and does have a very good resemblance to the actress in ‘The Idiots Lantern’. The faceless head also looks very good – just like the effect in the episode. This was the second ‘interchangeable head’ figure, after Doctor Constantine, and it works extremely well – not noticeable at all.

However all this is really quite irrelevant. The fact remains that this figure is simply a Grandma. Yes ‘The Wire’ couldn’t go on its own but they packaged it with a character absolutely no one remembers (well, I did but that’s just me and a handful of other fanatics!) and you simply have to buy one because it has to be the most random figure yet!
