For me personally the sight of the damaged Dalek Thay stands as one of the most striking images from series 3. It really did send a shiver down my spine and strangely impressed me. Therefore when I saw that we were getting a figure of it I was overjoyed.

As it is so similar to the other Daleks I urge you to read those reviews too because the main pluses and minuses still stand. As a figure itself however I really do like it! It looks good and adds well to a collection of Daleks. My only complaint about the figure is that to create the ‘detail’ of the metalwork someone has obviously just drawn a load of lines with a knife and it looks very ‘cartoony’ and fake - meaning the figure only ‘works’ if you look at it from a distance. Which is a shame really.

It’s a little random to bring it out, but I suppose they only needed to do a minor change to the old Dalek mould to have another figure to sell - so it makes marketing sense.
