Martha is a sort of ‘marmite’ figure to an extent. Most people love her, but there are some who don’t.
In my opinion, she’s one of the best for a number of reasons. The legs are really realistic and can be posed very well. They have a very good ‘jean’ texture and the shoes look good too.
Moving up you find the leather jacket, which also looks really realistic, and the pink top underneath looks first-class. The later version of Martha is very shiny here, perhaps a little too much as it looks like she’s been applying a lot of polish to herself strangely!
Her face looks really realistic, especially the second version that has slightly remodelled features around the face. Her hair looks really fantastic too, though perhaps has a bit too much space between hair and head where the ‘pony tail’ thing sticks up!
The really interesting thing about the figure is just how much it looks like Freema Agyeman, for example when you move her into positions that you see Martha in during the episodes it looks just like her! This is really helped by the fact that bicep swivel really works well, unlike some figures, and proves only to enhance the figure.
So what is it that so many people find to be wrong with this figure? It’s the fact that she looks rather stiff and ‘figure-like’, which for some people means that she is not realistic enough. For me personally this doesn’t pose a big problem, but for some it does and therefore I cannot sadly end on a unanimously brilliant review.
