I’ve decided to review these together because they are just so similar.

Making a figure of a robotic dog always posses challenges, but I feel that with this figure they have overcome them admirably. He looks great, the detail is very high – they’ve painted on a little dog tag and all - and it’s a nice touch to have a ‘pull back and go’ feature to him, which does work well.

And they don’t even stop there. Just to make sure that this isn’t a boring figure, if you click the top lot of buttons the side panel of K9 pops off revealing a wonderfully detailed inside for you to poke a sonic screwdriver at.

By releasing a ‘clean’ and a ‘dirty’ K9 they also overcome people having to buy two of the same figure - although the way in which the paintwork doesn’t match up in some places over the side panel etc. on the dirty K9 is a bit of a letdown.

Still, a lot of love and care has gone into these figures and they truly are great fun and a lovely piece of nostalgia.
