Move over Rose (Series 2), Martha, Grandma Connolly and Lillith – the award for sexiest figure so far has been taken.

Without a doubt this sleek and sexy figure captures the qualities directly from Eve Myles. It was a masterstroke to put her in the leather jacket – Eve’s body shape and figure (if you’ll excuse the pun) is exactly right and is shown off well. Just moving her thin arms feels ‘spot on’ and, whilst it’s a shame not to have any bicep swivels, her arms can be posed well in very ‘Gwen’ ways.

Her legs are also really detailed, right down to the little buckles on her boots, and she sits superbly. Why it’s so hard for CO to make figures sit I do not know – here Gwen can sit perfectly but it doesn’t affect the look of the figure at all.

Her gun is also superb, down to every last detail, probably one of the best guns any figure has come with.

The face could have slightly more detail to it, it’s certainly Gwen but perhaps could have a few more lines, bumps and wrinkles (yes, Eve does have a few!) but, while the hair isn’t perfect, it works better than most of CO’s long-haired figures such as Lillith or Rose.

She’s not 100% perfect, but she has that real quality that pushes her into line for ‘best figure so far’ and whilst this is still a figure for female Torchwood collectors, I think the men will enjoy it that little bit more…
