I recommend reading the review of the plain Gelth Zombie as well as this one because the figures are very similar and here I will only focus on the glow in the dark aspects of the figure.

I think this figure really does benefit from the glow in the dark effect. It changes it from being just a figure of an old Victorian woman to being something rather mysterious and exciting, because no matter how old you are things that glow in the dark are always a bit fascinating.

The glow in the dark effects themselves work well, the hands and head are clearly outlined in darkness.

A notable difference between this figure and the old version of the Gelth is the skin colour. The old one was a purple-pink only slightly decaying skin colour and this version is much whiter. This isn’t much of a problem, she is dead after all. The paintwork quality around the facial features is much lower on this figure however and really that’s the only point that’s better on the old Gelth model.

So I think the novelty of this figure is something in itself and I think this will certainly appeal to children more at least. For collectors the quality dip in the face could be a problem, otherwise I see no real advantage one has above the other for display purposes.
