First thing to say about this figure? It is definitely the most rare figure upon initial release in history. Sure the Sycorax Leader went for over £100 back at the beginning of 2007 but if you found Sarah Jane in a shop you can count yourself a very lucky person indeed!

However after this long wait was she worth it? On the whole, yes. The face is different from the ‘Sarah Jane Adventures’ figures, and it’s not quite as good (a bit too smiley) but it’s still ok. The hair is stuck on in the same way as Rose (series 1) and Lillith had theirs on, and this again looks a bit unnatural, especially when you turn her head around.

The clothes are also a bit strange. Instead of actually putting the clothes onto her, as with most figures, the top part of her bust is separate from the pink top and these are just stuck together loosely (well, they’re loose on my figure anyway.) Strangely the jacket is also stuck to her top, meaning she isn’t that great for holding or, for children, playing with.

However enough of the bad points – I pick them early simply because I’d waited for so long to get this figure. On the plus side she does look great simply standing around and she has some great posability. She also seems to have the elusive ‘X Factor’ I’m always looking for in a figure, and this in itself is a rare occurrence.

So there are some things not brilliant about the figure, I personally don’t think it’s the best Sarah Jane figure there has been, but she’s still a great addition to any collection and a good figure at heart.
