This is a figure that I find very hard to review and compare - specifically because it's just so different to all the others!

For a start, the 'light up' stand. It's a 'classy' affair and doesn't look at all out of place with the rest of a collection. It lights up the figure very well in the dark, and is just a very clever idea.

The figure of the Star Poet itself is very good, with some great detail on it, especially the 'hair' growing out of its back and head. Admittedly, the plastic workings inside do show up as it's semi-transparent, but this doesn't matter too much and actually ends up giving it a bit more realism and texture.

The wings work very well, but do fall off sometimes, as they don't clip on that well. However a major drawback to the figure is the lack of movement. This is really due to the fact that it has been designed specifically to be realistic, and therefore things like the arms are too thin to include hinges, and the ball-socket joints at the shoulders aren't great either, so that doesn't help. However these are unavoidable, so can be forgiven.

Basically this figure is an excellent one to display, and I can see children liking it, but to be honest it's not too much of a 'play' figure, as you can't really move it! A fascinating one to get hold of however just to see how it works!
